Sandbox VR is a multi-person immersive VR experience. From the moment you step foot in the door, their goal is to transport you to a futuristic space where you can travel anywhere with your friends. Working with Dot Dot Dash, we devloped as system to take their flagship store in San Francisco to a new level. Sandbox allowed us to pull from their game api to develop a content management system that gave their dosiers a way to control the environment using an ipad as they onboarded their groups into the experience. This allowed for each group to have a color and a name that moved from an onboarding area where they could learn about the rules and their missions, the gaming experience where they moved to their zone for the VR, and an offboarding experience where they could see their points and replay videos. The system allowed for realtime updates from their servers for the guides to smoothly immerse the guests in their experience. It also allowed for the Projectors and lighting to all be controlled and scheduled through a central system for daily on and off or updating for all 8 screens/projectors and 15 lighting elements in the space.
