Pseudo-holographic Interactive Solar System

Working with Psiplay, Psychojelly had the opportunity to combine its understanding of motion tracking and interactive content creation to aid in the building of a one-of-a-kind performance.

The performance utilized several projectors, a live band led by member of Grammy Award Winning band Asleep at the Wheel’s Elizabeth Mcqueen, interactive motion-tracking cameras, and a 10ft x10ft x10ft pseudo-holographic box to allow the audience to participate in the performance.

The content existed as a solar system that could be custom generated by each audience member using a series of gesture-based controls. Through the right gestures, the audience could control both the size of planets, their colors and their orbits in realtime. This was brought in as the main visual element to carry the narrative of the music, changing subtly throughout the performance.
