Datagrama’s Kamoreibi
As participants in the collective that is Datagrama, we worked with the founder Joao Beira to perform one of Datagrama’s Komoreibi for the Aurora Dallas Festival’s fundraising event.
The piece consisted of filling a theater full of haze to create volumetric light from projectors. The volumetric light carves shapes in the haze to create a 3D immersive performance for the audience. This performance consists of custom created and synced audio and video. To Assist with the production we calibrated the projectors and networked a series of media servers across 5 projectors and synced them to play their own specified segment of the video simultaneously. We then operated the performance for the event.
