Bamboo Forest

A project for Otherworld Philly.

The Bamboo Forest is a space made of 300 LED light bars, mapped spacially.

The floors are projection mapped using 9 projectors with generative particles swimming through the path and making the heads blow smoke at each other

Interactive cameras track guests allowing the particles to move around them.

The space is also connected to the large puzzle of the entire building and triggers the bamboo to come alive when the puzzle is completed.

Additionally, guests can explore inside the heads for an intimate hide-away with ambient lighting and audio.

Tech: Projection Mapping, LED Mapping, Motion Tracking, Spatial Audio, Lidar, Touchscreens, TV Screens

Team: Kit Matthews, Jansen Wright, Zac Layman, Goldie Nourian, Evan Gannon, Smooth Tech, Knabe Labs, Audio Focus, Rick Brown, Otherworld, Ben Llewellyn
